Autumn Street Photo Session

Having lived in Toronto for almost my entire life, it’s hard to look at the city with fresh eyes and pay attention to every day moments that contribute to story of a city. My usual experience through Toronto streets is rushing from one appointment to the next, planning the most efficient pedestrian and transit routes, and factoring in the necessary coffee and food stops. But with camera in hand, and no particular place to be, I can be completely present, I can take the extra moments to observe the life of this city, watch how people move and interact with the spaces and streets. That’s what I love about street photography.

The photos below are just a few of my selection from this late summer walk through Downtown Toronto. All photos were taken with the Sony A7iii, with a 50mm f1.8 lens.
